The Connect Domestic Violence and Abuse Helpline is often the first contact for people reaching out for support. Our Helpline counsellors answer the phone 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. They provide counselling, safety planning, referrals and information in multiple languages.
Our Online Live Chat offers confidential, real-time assistance so you can get the support you need in a safe, private space. It is available from Monday to Friday @ 8:00AM to 10:00PM (MST)
A Helpline counsellor provides FREE of charge:
- Crisis counselling and support
- General safety planning, emotional support and emergency escape planning
- Information and referrals
- Screening for Emergency Shelter placement
- Referrals to FearIsNotLove programs and services
- Help for men who would like to talk about their relationships, explore concerns and identify strategies to work towards safety in their relationships and changing behavior
- Collaborate with other community professionals seeking support and services for individuals experiencing domestic violence
