Maddy’s Process
Maddy’s Process honours the life of Madison Cobb, who was killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2025. This initiative was created to address gaps in protective order enforcement and advocate for stronger measures and protections for victims of domestic violence.
All donations made to Maddy’s Process support FearIsNotLove and help create safer futures and protect victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Melanie’s Ascent
In January 2026, a team of hikers summitted Mt. Kilimanjaro to honour the memory and spirit of Melanie, who was taken from us by domestic violence. Through Melanie’s Ascent Melanie’s brother, friends and neighbours hope to raise awareness about domestic violence and raise $300,000 to support the creation of a new program, to be administered by FearIsNotLove, that will provide critical safety tools, including home security systems and personal safety devices to women fleeing domestic violence.
We at FearIsNotLove are deeply moved by the group’s courage and commitment to build something meaningful out of tragedy. Through this initiative, not only will the group honour Melanie’s legacy, but they will also create a strong, more connected community.
